Nights of Lights Parking Guide 2026–27: Garage, Lots, Shuttles & Rideshare
Where to park for St. Augustine Nights of Lights, including the downtown garage, private lots, shuttle planning and tour departure tips.

Parking is one of the easiest ways to lose an hour during Nights of Lights. The goal is not to find a magical free space beside the Plaza; it is to choose a parking strategy before you enter the busiest part of downtown.
Historic Downtown Parking Facility
The central garage is beside the Visitor Information Center, a major tour departure area. During Nights of Lights, published holiday guidance lists different pricing depending on shuttle days and entry time, so check the current city rate before arrival. The garage is convenient, but convenience does not guarantee space on peak evenings.
Private downtown lots
Holiday parking guidance identifies private options such as Cathedral Parish School (259 St. George Street), First United Methodist Church (118 King Street), Flagler College lots around King/Valencia streets, Limelight Theatre (11 Old Mission Avenue), Old Cigar Factory (88 Riberia Street), Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche (101 San Marco), Trinity Episcopal Church (225 St. George Street) and others. Availability and pricing can change; only park where the lot is clearly open to visitors and follow posted payment instructions.
Free Park & Ride
On selected peak dates, St. Augustine has historically operated free perimeter parking and shuttles to the Visitor Information Center. The 2026–27 details are still pending. When confirmed, this can be the easiest strategy for visitors who do not need their car downtown.
Rideshare zones
Holiday guidance establishes designated Uber/Lyft pickup areas on busy Friday and Saturday nights, including locations near Avenida Menendez, Plaza de la Constitución, the Visitor Information Center, Carrera Street and the Colonial Quarter area. Using a designated zone is usually easier than asking a driver to stop on a congested block.
Parking for specific tours
Old Town Trolley
Departures are from the Visitor Information Center at 10 West Castillo Drive. The adjacent downtown garage is the obvious paid option; Old Town Trolley also notes limited discounted parking at its Welcome Center at 27 San Marco Avenue.
Schooner Freedom
Departs from the Municipal Marina at 111 Avenida Menendez. Nearby parking is metered and fills quickly, so arrive early.
Florida Water Tours
Departs from Camachee Yacht Harbor at 107 Yacht Club Drive. The operator notes free marina parking, though it can fill on holidays and weekends.
Reduce the parking problem entirely
A walkable hotel can be worth more during Nights of Lights than a cheaper room that requires driving downtown every evening.

If you have a timed tour, aim to be in the general departure area well before the operator’s check-in requirement. Holiday traffic is unpredictable. Build dinner and walking around the tour—not a last-minute parking search around the tour.
